The Laven family established the Miles Laven Memorial Jazz Scholarship to honor the late jazz musician and composer Miles Laven. He played drums in the EWHS Jazz Band and in various other ensembles during his high school years from 2009 to 2013 and went on to study at Manhattan School of Music.
PLEASE NOTE: This scholarship is only available to a graduating senior vocalist or instrumentalist from Edmonds-Woodway High School, planning to attend a post-secondary institution to study music, and who has demonstrated leadership, creativity, and musical excellence in jazz.
The application deadline is Friday, March 29, 2024.
Edmonds School District has moved the application process for this scholarship to their central scholarship application system. If you would like to apply for this scholarship, you may not use the Google forms previously provided. Instead, please complete the application using this link:
