| The Edmonds School District Board is meeting again on 4/25 at 6:30pm to vote on the proposed budget cuts. We need to speak up now or risk losing many of our beloved music programs, likely never to return. Quality music programs attract enrollment AND measurably improve student attendance, graduation rates and mental health – all major concerns in our district that will continue to decline without these programs. We should be investing more money into music education, not less! Meeting details: Time: 6:30pm (doors open at 6:00pm, but arrive earlier to line up) Location: District Office, 20420 68th Ave W Lynnwood, WA Deadlines: Online comments 3:00pm 4/24, lottery to speak at meeting 4:00pm 4/24 Speak up!! The district has posted an update online about the 4/25 board meeting. They will only be allowing 30 speakers at the meeting, limited to two minutes each, and selected by lottery. Sign up to speak no later than 4pm on Monday 4/24. Send in your comments!! Send in as many comments as you can to the school board as possible so they can become part of the official record. As unbelievable as it seems, we have learned that our direct emails may actually not be considered part of the official count. There is no limit to how many comments you can submit.
