June 6 – Spring Awards Concert, 7pm in Great Hall; Philharmonic, Bel Canto, Mello-Aires, Wind Symphony & Awards; Cake reception in courtyard afterwards

June 16 – Edmonds-Woodway HS Graduation, 6:30pm; Wind Symphony members for the coming year have been invited to arrive at EW by 5pm

June 20 – Music Boosters meeting, 7pm in Band Room, vote for 2023/2024 Executive Board

The Music Boosters Executive Board is currently looking for candidates for the upcoming school year, particularly a Secretary. Voting will take place at our next member meeting on June 20 in the Band Room. Please contact us via ewhsmusicboosters2@gmail.com if you are interested in getting involved.
EWHS Spring Concerts
June is the month all our music groups perform in our highly anticipated series of annual Spring Concerts. Please review the dates below and we look forward to seeing you there.
- Mello-Aires Solo Night, 6/5 at 7pm in the EWHS Theater
- Spring Awards Concert, 6/6 at 7pm in the EWHS Great Hall, with Philharmonic, Bel Canto, Mello-Aires & Wind Symphony. Please join us for cake reception in courtyard after performance
- Instrumental Jazz Night, 6/8 at 7pm in the EWHS Theater
- Spring Concert 2, 6/13 at 7pm in the EWHS Great Hall, with Concert & Symphonic Bands and Orchestras
- Edmonds Arts Festival 6/18 at the Frances Anderson Center in Edmonds, with June 18th performances of Philharmonic at 10am, Mello-Aires at 11:30am, and Jazz Band at 1pm
2023 Edmonds Jazz Walk
Saturday, June 3 from 6pm to midnight, Downtown Edmonds, WA

Eight venues in downtown Edmonds offering many celebrated jazz artists and ensembles. One wristband allows access to all shows at every venue. Order tickets (wristbands) online before they run out! Pre-order for $35 or buy on the day for $50 (if still available). Jazz Ensemble 1 is playing at 5pm at the Edmonds Old Opera House, 515 Dayton St, Edmonds. Musicians arrive 4:40pm to warm up!
Music Department BBQ – for Music Students Only
Friday, June 9 at 11:30 am (it’s a half day!), Edmonds City Park

Music students are invited to come hang out at the park for a relaxed year-end barbecue where they can gather together, reminisce, and sign each other’s yearbooks. Volunteer parents will be firing up their barbecues while the Music Boosters provide delicious food and refreshing drinks.

Please join the EWHS Music Boosters and PSO as we team up to present a fundraising table with tasty snacks. Many different tasks are available, big and small. The more volunteers the merrier! Not only is this a great opportunity for parents to support the festival and our school, it’s also a chance for your student to earn some extra volunteer hours. So mark your calendars and sign up here to be a part of this exciting event.
